Could it be how you respond to this question:

What's important to you?

And I want the immediate response, please- no lollygagging.

There are a million things that are important.

My first impulse would say freedom to choose my own path is most important...but it doesn't need to be absolute freedom.

The next thing would be the people in my life whom I value. Of course these two will frequently conflict, and balance is necessary.

Happiness. It's all everything I do is geared towards, achieving happiness. That's the only thing that's important to me.

What's important to you?
Loving and being loved. :wubbie:

As for the real difference between EXXP and IXXP,
Could it be how you respond to this question:
I don't know how to answer that... it seems like most people generally find the same kind of things important. For example, I imagine the answer I put is pretty common for a lot of people. I will be curious what other people say about the bigger question you are asking.

Hmm, well I can tell you that my initial response to the question is... I don't know.

I'm thinking along the lines of dominant perception vs dominant judging, rather than the traditional concept of extroversion/introversion having to do with spending time with people. Just contemplating...

What is most important to me is to experience the beauty of the moment... the bright colors and sunshine, the subdued colors and the gloomy sky... I want to experience that beauty through music and art, to share my joy with my friends... I want to make other people happy... and I want to learn something new each day. I want to see, smell, taste, and hear the beauty of each moment as it presents itself.
Hope that helps.

I really like the word "lollygagging."

Important to me: I don't know. Too many things are important to me.

Relationships with others was the immediate thing that came to my mind.

Also, being free to grow, explore, live my life, learn new things.

My immediate response was, it is important .... you don't tell me not to lollygag. I'll take my own good time. That has to be an EP/IP difference...

This part irritated me. Made me not want to answer. :D

+1.

Fortunately, my answer wasn't required, anyway!
Since when do INTPs not enjoy some good old-fashioned lollygagging?
