How well do you use the various functions?

Hey. It looks like ISTJ really DOES fit. :alttongue:

Wow, looks like I'm terrible at intuition. :/

*edit* Hey, could you tell me the author of the book you got the tests from? Someone was inquiring if I knew what it was.

  • Extraverted functions at the bottom... Heavy introversion? Overthinking FTW :D
  • Does this mean I'm doomed to a life of someone living in the basement? Never doing anything. A jack of all trades but master of nothing. NOOOO!

  • Results can only be measured relative to each other, because it seems I can't rate myself decently. Most put down either between 2-4... Aren't I vain? Honestly I can't do the absolutes on my cognitive process since I can't be certain.
  • Results are skewed because I can't decide without being influenced by my understanding of functions. Confirmation bias kicks in too easily. Lack of Te?

  • Introverted intuition is perhaps higher than it should be, more so than introverted feeling? Surprised.
  • Top three functions makes sense. They're probably not in that order, but still it's reflective of how I operate. Ti combined with Fe for best judgements while relying on Si to check if there might be anything I'm missing.

Looks about right for me... Didn't quite expect scores for Te to be up higher than Se though.

Ni 32/35 = 91%
Fe 43/50 = 86%
Ti 41/50 = 82%
Ne 30/40 = 75%
Te 29/40 = 72.5%
Se 21/40 = 52.5%
Fi 19/45 = 42.2%
Si 10/40 = 25%

I rescaled them each to 40 points total.

Ni = 10/40
Ne = 12/40
Si = 32/40
Se = 13/40
Ti = 21.6/40
Te = 33/40
Fi = 25.8/40
Fe = 21.1/40

Of course, I don't really trust these numbers, because they were probably influenced by what I already thought about the functions. Anyway, the rough order would be:

SiTe > Fi > TiFe >> SeNeNi

I guess that's about right. I suspect I've over-estimated my Ne score.

And thinking (lol) about this some more in relation to stuff that's been going on for me in recent times, I think I've used Ti for too many things that it shouldn't be used for. ie I used to use it instead of Fi, Fe and Se. I have to say, Ti kicks ass for building mental models, but it reeeeally shouldn't be used for anything else. A coupla years ago, my Ti score would have been higher and the other functions lower. Gradually getting more balanced.

Mmm, I dunno, I might have done that as well with Ni. I use it, but I use it only when the situation asks for it, not default. I'm kinda surprised I got that high with my Te still, coz I really despise that function. I also would've expected my Fi to be up there with my Ne, as it usually is, but I have more restrictions set on my Fi than on my Ne, so I guess that's about right.

Wow.. talk about a mirror image..

S's on the top, N's on the bottom.

I don't think that there is a type description for this setup....

Wow, if you take out the leading Se from yours, it would be more ISTJ than me:

Se - 55.0%
Ti - 52.0%
Fi - 51.1%
