Now that I know my type, what can I do with it?

  • Buy a t-shirt
  • lecture and preach to others the joys of knowing your type
  • Use it to excuse all your weaknesses
  • Impress bimbos

I've answered this question in Vent a bunch of times, but you keep not being there, and I'm too lazy to type it, so you lose. :cheese:

What are the practical uses?

Pondering the implications of your type, IMO, accelerates personal growth.

For example, you're an ISFP, right?

This makes your inferior function Te. I wouldn't be surprised if you have often failed to live up to many of the contracts of the social structure, and justified it with your tertiary Ni by saying that it is all a shallow, dehumanizing lie. In reality though perhaps you regret missing the countless opportunities to succeed that you've missed.

Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, but MBTI tells us that this is a problem for ISFPs in general, and knowing this could help you recognize it in yourself.

Well, that's my 2 cents.

Knowledge is nothing if not applied.

How do I impress women with it? I'm intrigued. :D

Recognizing your strengths and weaknesses, mostly.
But I find understanding other types more helpful, so you can realize that their way of doing things isn't necessarily wrong, and you can interact better with them.

And stuff.

That is true, you're right. Those are good points.
What can I do then?

I like the stuff part too.

I don't like using it with others, I'm interested in the strengths and weaknesses side of it.

I don't know. I'm battling similar issues myself. I think the only thing you can really do is recognize your true feelings and stop rationalizing your procrastination of getting what you really want out of life.
