On online tests I get 50/50 but my brain always reads the word rather than say the color so I think my left brain is slightly dominating

Yeap, I started to read.
But I am aware of the fact that I am quite left brained.

I did this test on face book last week -

Left brain individual.

Left brain individuals are analytical, articulate and to the point. They like identifying details and are more logical than intuitive. Left brained people have good communication and persuasion skills.

Careers: Engineers, Systems Analysts, Technicians, Accountants, Librarians.

(Administration, Conservative, Organization, Planner, Structure.)

I appear rightbrained. I find it relatively easy to say the color instead the word, however, the third in a row takes me a second. And the black color was annoying on my brain as well.

Most went fairly natural though. :p

According to Lenore Thomson, each function corresponds to each side of the brain

Left Brain:

Extraverted Thinking
Extraverted Feeling

Introverted Sensing
Introverted Intuition

Right Brain:

Extraverted Sensing
Extraverted Intuition

Introverted Thinking
Introverted Feeling

Basically J's are left brained, P's are right brained. I started to say the word, but then I remembered taking this test before and started identifying each color instead. In function terms, Te went up, Si came back with something to change, and then Extraverted Perception(right brain) was dispatched. In my psychology class, that would be the corpus callosum working its magic.

I disagree about 1000000%

Haha at first I thought it said read the word, not the color. I was able to read it with such ease, then I realized it said read the color, not the word. This was significantly harder lol.

First pass through, left brain dominated.
Once I got the point though, I was able to make a second pass with the right.

Interesting!

I am neither math guru, nor master artist, but I am good at both math and art.
Is it possible to be "on the cusp" of being left/right brained?
Much like someone being XNFJ, where X = 50% "I" / 50% "E"...

As far as I know you can be rated as "balanced".

Reading the color wasn't too difficult for me. I guess I'm pretty right-brained.

All that matters is the first try. After that, you have experience to back you up, and you can't see the effects of gut reactions.

Agreed.

In this example there are only two outcomes.
But there are classifications that have option "balanced".
Which is for cases where hemisphere are similar in strenght.

At first I started to say the words, but then I found it relatively easy to say the colors as long as I didn't go too fast. In one of my psych classes at school a prof told us that women's right and left brains are more connected than men's and that's why we get our emotions mixed up in things that it appears we shouldn't. It's both a strength and a weakness, either way.

lol, I don't think the test works, I'm positive that I'm right brained, but I started reading the words about three words in... even that cognitive function correlation suggests that I should be right brained. If you really think about it, Ne is right brained, It connects concepts together. So it would connect the word red, with the colour red, but it could fall the other way. Someone with Ne could test either way, and it's probably the same with some of the other functions. Fi might be an exception...

[add]: I started by going as fast as possible :)
