So I have been trying to type myself and someone on another forum gave me a scenario.
The question was, imagine you're going to a concert with some friends and the car breaks down. What do you do?
I answered that I would start asking questions? What's our plan b? Does anyone have any know-how with cars? Let's decide what to do together.
He said that is Te.
Also, continuing on, question 2 was ...imagine you got the car running and got there on time for the show, and then at the end, somebody scores a pass to go backstage and an after party. What do you do?
I answered that, after a long night of partying and rocking out to the concert, I'm probably going to be tired and not want to go to any after party, so I would try to convince the others to not go, or I would say that I can sleep in the car and that they can go.
He said that was fi.
This confused me because in every test I get Fe and Ti.
So here's my question: Can you really truly know your core type by answering a few questions? What if you use fi for some situations and fe for others? How can you tell you use one over the other?
I think that guy was dead wrong, first because he doesn't know me, and second, because that is one little situation (I am not a fan of going to concerts with people) and if it was another situation, I might have answered differently.
Thoughts?
