6.06- 6.37 YouTube (This is anti Ni, the function that Se doms repress."Extraverted sensors are some of the most realistic personality types. They see things as they are and accept facts readily, making the most of whatever situation they find themselves in."10 signs that you might be an extraverted sensor- I’m The Ultimate Realist- I see things for what they are without embellishing them with my own impressions and judgments. I pride myself on being down-to-earth and practical."). Se quote- Hemingway: "There isn't any symbolism [in my writing]. The sea is the sea. The old man is an old man. ... All the symbolism that people [find] is shit."- So you see Ni types over analyse things (the sky is blue, why is the sky blue-) Se user don't- they enjoy thing for what they are.

17.05- YouTube
14.04- YouTube

Se description- "You prefer to live in the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past or day dreaming about the future. "Be Here Now" comes naturally to you. You are almost always tuned into the present moment, and you wonder why other people seem so spaced out."

YouTube (1.21- he rejects the past, he sees it as something good, he's not overly sentimental or nostalgic (Si), it happened and it was good. 1.36- i think it's better to be here now and live in the present- this could be the Se slogan. It's all about living in the present and enjoying the moment, forget the past, don't plan for the future, the moment is now or- Be here now. 1.53 when asked how he sees the present- he describes things exactly as they are and he's concrete (all Se type are) - NICE SMILING FACES. (lots of Fi in that interview too). 3.52- thrill seeker. "10 signs–I Thrive On Risk I was the kid that jumped into the deep end of the pool without thinking or learned really early how to ride a bike. I am stimulated by physical challenges and impulse and am usually highly aware of my body when I take a physical risk. 5.04 onwards more Se- The future is always the now for me.

(Se types see things as they are, this doesn't mean they aren't creative, you could say it depends on the context.)
Example Marlon Brando- Regarding Brando’s remarkable talent, Adler recalled that once she instructed the class to act like chickens, and added that a nuclear bomb was about to fall on them. While most of the students in the class ran around and clucked, he was sitting calmly and pretended to lay an egg. When Adler asked him why he chose to react that way, he explained, “I’m a chicken – what do I know about bombs?
Isn't that just INCREDIBLE...........I mean wow. Why it's so incredible is because acting is about using the imagination, that's the key to acting. This is pure Se and it's just extraordinary when you think about it, his sense of reality( Se) made him stand out in a profession that pretty much rejects realism.

I mentioned living in the moment but what does that really mean, to really live in the moment- YouTube the whole clip is pure Se- you see he's totally heightening the experience, making the most of it, as one writer said- it's as if the only thing that exists is what's happening right now. I recommended reading Tupacs Wikipedia page or studying him if you really want to know what it is to really live in the moment, if you really want to understand unhealthy Se.

Some more great examples- (Totally immersing themselves in the moment)

ISTPs in particular-19.06- 20.26- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FF8grDPK87k&t=1980s (When it comes to a crisis, Se-users are the best types to have on hand. They are quick to find solutions and take in the details around them, finding rapid ways to alter their surroundings to solve a problem or get out of a precarious situation.)

(The beginning) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-01nU5yvd4&t=73s ("New things that cannot be grasped or enjoyed by the senses are less interesting to Se-users". He's asked what it's like to be a living legend and he says- it's okay but it's nothing you can taste or smell, this is literally Se and it's the probably the best example of Se you'll find)

(3.17) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4D2HqXromZQ&t=231s ( 10 signs –Actions Speak Louder Than Words
I’ll show you I care by doing something for you or making you laugh or smile. Talk is cheap, and even if I enjoy socializing, I’m more likely to want to really engage with you and the world around us than just talk about the world around us.)

3.34- 4.24- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdQ8ojuA0Ys&t=403s (10 signs- I’m extremely attuned to what’s happening around me and focus in on the details in an effort to see opportunities and experiences. I feel like many other people have their head in the clouds while I’m focusing on what’s really happening now. They are extremely observant and aware of all the details of their physical world, and often know how to maneuver throughout life in a graceful way because of their awareness)
