I have a palm plant for 8 years now, and it hasn't died yet.

Get one of those, they are immortal!

i had a cactus garden for 3 months and i killed that. to be fair i left in front of a very cold window in the chicago winter, but if someone says you can't kill this plant i will find a way. not on purpose. i don't do plant things for this reason.

Try watering and spraying with 2 parts water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide (3%). It will kill off the gnat infestation and aerate your soil.

Good idea... it's a naturally-occurring compound too, and it breaks down in the soil.
