I concur! (and the baboon - in one of the pics)....and what is up with some of the leashed hyenas' snouts? Looks like they put needles or something in them.
And, an animal doesn't have to be lovable, nor 'created' to be "lovable" for humans. That's selfish! They (nor any living being) don't live to answer to humans. How ridiculous!

Tame Hyenas?
Hah, well tell that to my great grandmother who lived in the hinterlands of Northern Kenya and once had to fend off an entire pack for several hours by herself and survived by the skin of her teeth. Long gruesome story.

Also, I like octupi (or is it octopusses) and squid. Especially the giant kind.
"Cephalopods" covers both octopi and squid.
Random thought, how kick ass would it be to walk around your neighborhood with a hyena on a big, bad ass chain. All of a sudden the guy with the pitbull feels like he owns a Dachshund, Hah!

Ha, the tip of the iceberg man, tip of it. That rash, rash woman (great grandma) lived through a lot. She lived in an animal reserve yet was forever fighting with her hubby and, in her fury, walking back to her parents' home in a distant village. Another time, she left with great-uncle (then an infant) on her back and had to hide in a warthog hole for hours to avoid being attacked by a large male lion that she'd startled. He was too large to come after her into the hole and sat grunting and growling outside the hole throughout the night till he got tired and left. She was then escorted back home by rangers who happened to be in the same area.
And then this other time she... let's just say I could fill a book with the stuff she went through.
