Now if you were sort who needs a power hook-up for the TV and the stereo system and all that... then you're not really camping...
Nope, don't need that. (That's what an acoustic guitar's for!)

Just for the sake of honesty:

White asparagus
Trout filets (bio)
White mushrooms (bio)
Dried morels
Yellow bell peppers (bio)
Shallots (bio)
Fresh penne rigate (GMO-free)
Capers
Balsamic vinegar (Aceto balsamico di Modena)
And a bottle of Givry (AOC: French Burgundy wine)

And yes, as the typical overeducated urbanite hipster I am, I avoid junk food at all cost.
Being French also helps. :harhar:

avocado

Avocados are very high on fat (75% of their calories content comes from fat). That's why in many part of the world, they're known as "butter fruits", and that's not because of their taste.

Yeah, but they're rich in "healthy" fats, and quite good for you, when eaten in moderation. Typically 'low fat diet' refers to cutting out the less healthy fats.

Avacados are a good fat. Eating a truly low fat diet is bad for you, it's bad for your brain.

A lot of vegans eat avacado so they can get "good fat."

Lexicon and Marmotini

You're both absolutely right. Most of the fat content of a typical avocado is made of oleic acid (the same fatty acid present in olive oil), and it is indeed a "good" fat. It's good for your health and I enjoy eating avocados.

But I was answering to somebody who said he was on a "super low carb / low fat / no dairy / pescatarian diet".

A good fatty acid is still a fatty acid, technically speaking. :)

Technically speaking, she could still be consuming low quantities of total fat throughout her entire day, so it'd still constitute following a low fat diet.

 Dammit. I want spicy guacamole now.

right.

my low fat = 20% of total daily intake.
ie 20g fat for 1000 cal daily intake.
32g fat for 1600 cal

half an avocado approx 15g fat

I should probably make a grocery list, but I dislike writing things down. I did put this on my mental list for today's shopping trip after having some at a memorial day party this past Saturday. They're actually surprisingly good.
