Designing the ultimate program of self-improvement?

I've been thinking about this for a while, tried it a few times, what're everyone's views, even those who hate the whole self-improvement scene (I value those opinions and have read a couple of books, wellness syndrome, stand firm etc. which are highly critical) how much time do you dedicate to physical training? Mental training? Skills? How and why do you weight it in particular ways? Is it possible to next level it beyond a hobby or life improving pass time?

There is a mental state (achieved through meditation, drugs, sensory deprivation and other means) that allows some people to vastly outperform both physically and mentally (compared to baseline levels) for brief moments. They become roughly 5 times as creative and productive; information freely flows in their brains and they're able to see connections that they aren't able to see before.

This is why the Burning Man festival is so popular with some Silicon Valley CEOs; they go there to bring about this altered state.

I've experienced it about 10 times, the bulk of these incidents occuring while playing sports. Athletes call it "being in the zone"; in this state, it seems as if time slows down and you're able to see things much more clearly.

That's just our natural state without mental noise. Nothing funnier than reading books and people making it out to be something mysterious or like a new discovery that must now be rationalized. All because people have ridiculed and woo-woofied meditation and eastern practices in our culture for so long(we wouldn't want to have individuals be too enpowered now would we?). This shit hasn't been new in the west for 100 years at least. That's how much a small step in open-mindedness can't do for us as an individual if we allow ourselves to question our worldview and what is ridiculued by the zeitgeist and investigate for ourselvses.
