Trying to avoid the substance. Is chocolate safe? I've heard conflicting results. Some say yes, others say it's actually theobromine, a similar yet , from my understanding, weaker chemical. Just trying to avoid stimulants, they are poison in my opinion, and I'm definitely not that big a chocolate fan to begin with but I like the occasional chocolate milk or ice cream and the more i think about it the more bizarre it seems to me to go virtually a whole lifetime without it.

From what I could research, chocolate contains both theobromine (which is different from caffeine but similar in its chemical structure and also a stimulant) and trace amounts of caffeine. The two sometimes get conflated.

Cutting out chocolate in order to reduce your intake of stimulants sounds a bit extreme though.
