So normally I am somewhat like a specialist on those topics but currently I am pretty insecure / uncreative. Maybe some of you can help me out with some ideas.

Let's assume I needed to start a diet where I could eat small meals circadian only; with mostly carbohydrates; no fruits; no additions like monosodium glutamate etc and no or only a very little amount of (citric) acids, what would you recommend? Especially if - let's say - for some reason I didn't have much appetite for anything, because I was quite sick of food and would eat only because I have to (otherwise the stomach hurts like crap). Any ideas? Because I really can't come up with anything anymore. It's quite frustrating actually. So in case you have any idea, please post it. Thanks.

Holy hell, only carbohydrates. Well you would have to make sure that you're extremely active everyday I suppose. Otherwise it would be just dead weight. I wouldn't recommend it, the fruits provide you with energy from natural sugars.

Either way you would have to base it around a lot of bread and rice. Add fish to your rice and bread templates. Stick to seafood like shark, crab, lobster, and any desired type of fish. They'll provide you with all the nutrients and protein that you need. Don't eat steak, it would be junk since you're mostly carb to begin with. Also snack on yogurt, almonds, cashews, walnuts, pecans, etc. Keep up on calcium and sugar with Vitamin D milk or something.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks. Unfortunately this is not really a choice-thing, more of a "have to". =/

Bread, rice, fish and nuts. Yeah I forgot those. I was mostly thinking noodles and potatoes. So thank you.

Can you eat other vegetables, like carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato etc?

Try and work in some oily fishes for essential stuff.

Yeah I *think* veggies work.
From what I have seen there were reactions with wraps (because of the wraps themselves only), Pesto, sometimes yoghurts or milk, some types of pizza, saucages of any kind, some "country pan" from the store and also stuff like energy drinks.

To make it all more funny and challenging, sometimes some of those things also work and do not cause any reactions; but instead some other stuff does.
I have been writing down the reactions since a few months, and this was it so far.

In addition it seems that stuff like chocolate works well; while other things cause quite some heavy damage. It's quite a little mess and medics are puzzled.

So thanks you guys. I appreciate any help; because I must honestly say that I start to get seriously scared of food.

Remind me next time we're online at the same time.. I've been through an awful lot of this with my sister who has endless changing food intolerances.

Could it be a cumulative thing? A friend of mine has severe food insensitivities. She has to limit the total amount of particular foods, but she can eat some foods in small amounts. See this as an example of food intolerance that is dose-dependent.

Oh, well it is not exactly an allergy. Some food will cause my stomach to produce too much acids and depending on how nervous it gets, it causes more or less pain.

I was told to do the following
~ a diet, where I should mostly eat carbohydrates and not too much fat or proteins
~ eat often, but only small amounts of food
~ not eat too spicy
~ watch out to not eat / drink anything with peppermint or menthol
~ drink either certain teas or just water, but not hot or cold, only lukewarm
~ no fruits, milk or anything with any (citric) acids
~ relax, keep stress down and be positive

I used to have this problem before; mostly due to much stress. It stopped after reducing it. Recently it started again, but this time the relaxing stuff I have been doing the last time didn't really work.

I am slowly getting really bothered by this. I have been dealing with that stuff for months and I am not too sure anymore on what to eat. As I said already: if I could I would eat nothing, but being hungry sucks and trying to sleep like that is quite impossible.

About the Salicylates: oddly I can eat some of those things with no problems; even a lot of them. But I guess I will keep those in mind. Thank you.

Ooooh chocolate. Try the real dark, heavy, cacao chocolates. Bite off a piece, and then drink milk at the same time. It's sooo good, and quite filling as well. They make ample snacks.

Hm, now that sounds interesting indeed. Thank you.

Oh, yes I know what you mean. I keep forgetting about those. :rolleyes2:

Oh, and just for a laugh, let me tell you what I was able to eat without any problems 2 days ago: my roomie brought home Mcfood. And I had no problems. Ha ha ha. :D

Hmmm, McDonald's isn't exactly what I would prescribe for healthy gastrointestinal functioning. However, when I think about it, I guess there is a lot of bacteria in their food. Bacteria does tend to make one "evacuate" matter out of their system with haste. So it might a good short term remedy, but in the long run costly and pernicious.

But yea, seriously try the choclate thing. Preferraby with Godiva, because chocolate > people. Chocolate + milk > concept of God. Sorry.

*lol* Don't worry, I am not gonna use that as a remedy. I just thought it was oddly funny tha normal food seems to attack the stomach, while McDo works. :D

Hm, they dun ship overseas, so I guess I have to see if we have something like an American store here somewhere. Thank you. =)

This is coming out of left-field a bit here, but did you have the flu or something equally bad that made you throw up or unable to eat recently?

I ask because a classmate got the flu and for the past month or so she hasn't been able to eat anything because she would throw it back up or have terrible stomach acid. When she went to the doctor, they discovered she was having an odd auto-immune reponse to...nothing. Meaning, her body still thought it was sick, so it kept trying to expell anything going into it in an attempt to clean the body out and allow it to heal. She's on some medications that reduce stomach acid (among others to help with other symptoms) until she's able to "prove" to her body that she's not sick anymore.

This is just something that might provide your doctors with a lead, perhaps. It's certainly possible. But I'm no medical professional.

Uh, the flu? Well, I haven't had the need to expel food since uh, almost 2 decades now. And I wasn't sick since...almost the same time. So, unless I still got something from like 2 decades ago, I sure hope that it's not that.
Wow, but that is interesting. The body thinking it is still sick. Never heard of that before. That's a great input, thank you.

What is your max amount of fat you can take in a day?

When I'm in poor mode I'll take noodles and boil them in just enough water to cover them. Then when they're boiling I'll add a little bit of oil or butter along with some herbs (and spices, but you said you can't have that); stir that up then turn the heat down. Once the noodles are soft enough I start adding flour to thicken it up, but only add it a little at a time. If you do it right it tastes rather good. ^_^

Ooh, wait you mean a version of "Pasta Aglio Olio", right? Well, cept that you leave out the garlic (Aglio). Yep, that is very yummy. I always keep forgetting about that too. Doh.
Thanks for reminding me.

BTW: there is not really a max. amount of anything.

Seems that, when I eat small meals often every day, instead of - let's say - one (big) only, it kinda works. Unless I am very, very stressed. And that's what I have been for the past months probably. I didn't even notice, until my stomach hurt like crap after eating.
In any case, if I am lucky, I can also eat other things than carbs only. As long as I keep the meals small. Yeah, and still not too spicy; which annoys me. Because I like spices.

So, I guess I probably need to change the title of this thread to something like "Small meals and anti-stress methods" or something like that. :rolleyes2:
*cough* Could somebody please? o.o

Thank you. That's better now.

Okay, best stress reliever for me:
Find a friend, and go shopping for the majority of the night. Then go home take warm bath, with ambient music, and scented candles. A cigar thrown into the mix would be nice, but probably not great for your health aspect.
