On hiatus recently, I was introduced to the positive effects of gratitude on mental health. I was skeptical at first, but it really does seem to help. How Gratitude Changes You and Your Brain
So this thread is dedicated to gratitude. It can be gratitude to God, another member, or just like a random grateful thought, e.g. life would be rather awkward without toilet paper... I’m grateful for the in invention of toilet paper.

Eyeglasses. Toilet paper, yes. Modern dentistry. Indoor plumbing. Gas heat. Central AC. Clean water.
The internet which has allowed me to meet wonderful people I wouldn't even know existed without it.
Friends who are a source of comfort, compassion, inspiration, and love.

Gratitude for just being alive. Even when thigs are hard Im glad Ive still got the opportunity yo have just... to control my own life. Maybe it doesnt matter at the end of the day. Maybe Ill just end up being some sort of loser, unhappy and just- worthless. But maybe not. As long as Im living I get a say as long as I keep trying

I used to do gratitude lists every day, I sort of stopped but they did help put a positive spin on things.
