Has anyone studied sociology, micro, macro or any other sort and what do you think are its relative strengths and weaknesses in explaining individual and social life or illuminating insights into the human condition and living life relative or comparable to psychology or MBTI or other theories and knowledge bases?

I'm currently attempting to find out if anyone has investigated social character or social unconscious like Erich Fromm or if he was a singular thinker or pioneer in that respect, its interesting to me as I think those ideas surely are important for anyone who is trying to better understand themselves, others, their family, society in general, whether they think they have baggage or not to be aware of in the first place.
