30/36 better than over 70 percent of participants.. I took it earlier

Most were easy but every so often I get tangled up.

How universal are people's facial expressions for a given emotion anyway? I would think we collectively exhibit much more variation than to make a test like this even meaningful. I looked at each set of eyes and determined what emotion I thought they represented. Rarely was my choice even among those offered. Then it became a process of elimination.

33/36. It didn't give me a percentile score, it just said that the average was 26.

This score seems like its in the feeler as opposed to thinker range.

Maybe because you scored too high?
I'm skeptical about these percentiles, given the average of the scores that people are posting.

Your score is 32 out of 36.
    The average score is 26.
Does this test work equally well for all people around the world?
This test was developed in Great Britain and the images you saw were taken from British magazines in 1990's. Unsurprisingly, the test doesn't work perfectly for people who are not native speakers of English or for people who come from cultures that are very different from Britain's.

Should you worry if you got a low score?
No. Your screen lighting level, mood, fatigue and many other factors might have affected your score. The results of this test are useful when they are averaged across many people, but they can be inaccurate for any individual person.
