Are INTPs secretly just as conscientious as ISFJs come off to be?

This of course, is based off the premise that ISFJ's actually do come off conscientious in the first place.

I can't speak for anyone else but yes I think INTPs are. Although am not really secret about it or anything.

Hm...of course, if we do conclude that INTPs secretly possesses the conscientiousness that ISFJs have, the corollary to this is that ISFJs are secretly philosophical and inventive. I approve.

I don't think that typically INTPs are defined by emotional and social conscientiousness, but that isn't to say that there couldn't be plenty of people with both pairs of functions similarly strong, being an INTP/ISFJ hybrid type. In general terms, they are likely to forget birthdays and other social/emotional details that ISFJs are less likely to forget, so in that way the ISFJ will seem much more conscientious. ISFJs can remember a lot of concrete details about the needs of the people they love, but INTPs are typically defined more by being spacey about such things.

INTPs are highly conscientious about ideas and logic - far more than most people. They aren't sloppy thinkers, but are deliberate and careful in constructing their understanding of reality.

All types are potentially conscientious about certain things, so perhaps it is better to define exactly what is being meant by that word, and to describe what kinds of behavior both types share.
