I'm not sure what I think about this tbh. I watched the video a few days ago, and what they seem to be stressing makes sense / seems to be common sense to me -- which is 'hey guys, it's worth it to be aware of the functions you don't prefer, as having at least a basic awareness / rudimentary understanding of them could help you in a variety of situations that might pop up or be forced on you where your actual preferences aren't going to be of as much use'.

But going from that to connecting to the 'lizard brain' seems weird to me. I had actually been hoping for more science vs just throwing out the lizard brain concept, of where we all go when we are presented with something that is a threat, and then using it as a platform to talk about cognitive functions. I dunno. To me cognitive functions are all outside the lizard brain phenomena. But, yeah.

Mixed thoughts on it.
