The telephone works because we speak and listen turn and turn about. The telephone comes to a grinding halt if only one person speaks and listens.

Another way of putting this is that the meaning of talking on the telephone is its response. No response, no telephone.

Typology Central works the same way as the telephone. In other words, the meaning of a post is its response.

This requires a whole different way of thinking than the way we think when we read a book.

In a book, the author creates the meaning, and we read the book alone.

Here the literate individual starts to dissolve into the shared feeling of Typology Central.

Another way of putting it is that the individual dissolves into the vibes of Central.

The telephone consists of electronic vibrations (vibes), and Central consists of felt vibrations.

Central is like a global spider web, a net, that vibrates whenever we touch it.

So let go of our individuality forced on us by school and literacy, and embrace the vibrating net. Let ourselves be touched by the vibrations.
