I'm with you though, I don't really see it as a corrolary to Buddhism. For one thing it's not really as regimented as Buddhism. We have a Won Buddhist temple nearby that I've spent some time at (my daughter went to summer camp there last year or the year before, I forget--she likes to go to their childrens' services, and I've gone to their weekend meditation a few times alone) and it's a lot more specific than Quakerism which is very simple and open-ended.
