makes sense, i was really smart as a kid and it's been steadily declining ever since. guess my brain's atrophying from not using it enough.

I honestly feel much more intelligent and mature than I did when I was 12, but doesn't that happen with everyone.?
It's not like your NOT learning anything in those years. There is still development, but just not your full potential development? o_O idk...
Very interesting article though thanks for that [:

Someone gave a talk at TED about this a while ago. He explained it with the fact that our regular learning system doesent do the tricks that boost IQ and explained some methods he had used for himself and it made sense.

Ps. Didnt look at the link

"People have thought IQ is fixed or that it becomes stable very early in life, but here is meaningful evidence that variation happens and continues well into adolescence."

Drat, maybe my IQ did take a nosedive right after I took the test at age 16  (Now to find some more flexibility in adulthood.....)

I read that article and thought, "Yeah, I know." Actualy, I thought it was old news, because I thought that everyone knew that by now.

I'd say I became smarter with age. Mostly because I wasn't as distracted and interests shifted.

OTOH, I'm far more boring now.

Mine took a nosedive around 16 also.... right after I started drinking and smoking dope.
