I'm not a conformist, but also not a non-conformist. I just do whatever I want. I don't like extreme conformist and I don't like extreme non-conformists either. They're both so dogmatic that ist's just sad.

Yes, that's definitely true.

And if the path of least resistance is more efficient in going the direction you want to go anyway, then why not take it? That's how I see conformity sometimes. It can make life a little easier and isn't always some compromise on my individual identity.
