This sounds kind of in my wheelhouse; might get tired of it after a while. Most HR work (which is what it sounds like) gets repetitive after a while.

Nope.

Directing the technical research development program in a space technology corporation
Fun if I had the skill-set and technical knowledge for it for it.

Yes! I do well in marketing/communications type of roles.

Overseeing a team of construction engineers at the construction site of a large bridge
Dull.

Leading the creative development of a fantasy RPG game and managing a team of artists
Fun if I had the skill-set and technical knowledge for it for it.

Improving border security by detecting smuggling and illegal immigration as the head of a customs office
