This just had me thinking if there's a relation between your shower habit and your MBTI type. If I had to guess, I'd say there is.

So, what's your MBTI type, how long do you usually shower if you aren't on a timetable and you are alone in the shower and why do you believe you do this.

INTP - thirty minutes to one and a half hour.

I find the sterile environment and dropping of water very stimulating for my Ti-ness. :D

There goes that hypothesis. :p

Still wonder what the difference is between the ones that shower long and those that don't. *ponders*

I like to shower long when I have the opportunity. It feels good and I'm isolated enough from other stimuli that I can just think. Oh, and I'm pretty sure I'm INTP.

15 minutes because I have long hair. A shower is something to get out of the way for me. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with type. >_>

I was joking a bit. Thought it was funny the first two were seemingly the exact opposites even though of the same type. :)

edit: Yuo say that Blackcat, but maybe that's just the difference between T and F? :>

Mistah Goodstain is just plain strange though. Even for INTPs.

ENTP - preferably until the hot water runs out. The shower's where I've had most of my "Eureka!" moments.

But on a regular day? 10 minutes, tops. I'm always running late.

/me: just a few minutes .. (5? not looking on the watch)

on a side note, have you ever tried showering in a squatting position? it's the natural thing to do, but we have learned to do things the conformist way. it's the next best thing to a lying bath. has obvious practical features as well. i am not saying, that I sit all the time. just the part where i relax and insert idle time. and the practical part.

I kinda have to be quick about my showers too because we don't have much hot water at a time, so it's a habit even when I'm not here.

Ha, I do some of my best thinking while showering. I spend more time in the shower than I should. Often 20 mins-long showers. Which is ridiculous cause you never need nowhere near that much time. But I like taking showers

Nanook, I do tend to lean a lot, or hold on to the top of the door while hanging in a stretchy kinda way, circling my back a bit to keep the skin sensitive to the water. (Keep the shower at the same spot for a long time and the sensitivity seems to numb out. :p)

Might try the squatting position sometime if you say it has its uses. For the sake of experiment. xD

And water is durable.

(Altho the gas required for the heating isn't. But let's just forget about that part. >.> )

It's a luxury when I'm at my moms 2 days a week to be able to have a 30 minute shower just cause. :)
