Vegitative (manic) depresion = "slow" narcolepsy?

I thought of this completely unfounded notion.

What if this vegatative state of depression or manic depression is a slower "averaged out" version of Narcolepsy?

If you pay attention to the symptoms described in the video below, they match quite well with how I feel, except on a longer time scale, and less severe.

Whenever I have a period of intense emotion (both positive or negative), I follow it with a lot of sleep, and even when awake, it feels like I am patially limp and heavy, and find it hard to move for hours. There are even a weird dreams while awake that are associated with this state (though I wont call them "hallucinations").

This is commonly refered to as the "vegetative state" of (manic) depression.

But I just realized that these symptoms seem like a slower, less intense, version of the symptoms of Narcolepsy.

Any chance they are linked? Especially, if the symptoms have been life long, and not triggered by any sort of trauma or situation (IOW, biological in its source).

Unbelievable this illness. It could be linked to your conditions but you really should consult a professional and not an internet forum about it

I know. I am seeing a professional, but I just thought the similarities are striking.
