Those of us who follow astrology are intuitive, and hope to gain something for ourselves, quite like most who pray, while those who follow astronomy are counter intuitive and disinterested, able to see the universe as it is, not how we wish it to be.

Children are intuitive and interested in gaining something for themselves, while the literate adult is counter intuitive and disinterested in seeing the world as it is.

So the interested child must be dependent on the disinterested adult.

So astrology and mbti cater for the intuitive and interested child, and astronomy and psychometrics cater for the counter intuitive and disinterested grown up.
