I've separated my goals into two sections, as I do have a number that I am laxed toward. I firmly believe in not burning one's self out by having too many expectations of one's own abilities.

Tidbits from my ill-fated blog on Sparkpeople:

I love exercise that is fun, because it not only stimulates the body, but it stimulates the mind. What are we without our minds? Flesh sacks- that's what! I want to be more than just a flesh sack, and more than just a miserable workout routine for the rest of my life.

Too many people forget about their happiness on the way to a goal. I think it's one of the most important things for longevity and for living life right.


Weekly Exercise Challenge Goals:
  • Cardio/Zumba: 4x
  • Yoga/Pilates: 1x
  • Pushups: 70+

Other Non-Challenge Goals:

Daily
  • Water: 4 cups+
  • Calories: 1200-1600 (Differential included)
  • Vitamins: Flintstone's Multi, Vitamin E, Fish Oil

Weekly
  • Walk/Run: 1x
  • Weight/Strength Training: 1x
  • Stretching: 4x

Overall
  • STG: - 22lbs
  • LTG: - 52lbs
  • Healthier Choices
  • Frequent Measurements
  • Mental Zen

* If I've updated on the present day, the results are liable to be edited throughout the day.

I tried out my new ZigFly sneakers. They are slightly snug, but not uncomfortable at all. They also pivot fantastically, without the additional slide that accompanied my dance-sneakers. They look cool, albeit funky, and will be less likely to give me knee troubles :yes:

Something cool about my Zigfly sneaks: they are sorta mesh in the front, so it shows the colors of my socks. This is awesome for spicing up the look of the shoes in a small way.

Zumba instructor training is steadily approaching. I'm trying to break in my new sneaks as much as possible until then. No blisters or hurties, so I'm happy. Also, trying to amp my stamina as much as possible! Hope :yes:

Yoga was wonderful tonight. It's been too long. I also found out what lotion my yoga-lady uses, because it is so relaxing. Now.. back to soreness courtesy of pilates last night.

Also, :blink: Less than 12 hours until my Zumba Instructor Training. Excited and nervous, and still need to figure out what my lunch will consist of, and what clothes I'm bringing for the day. Hummmm nervous and excited!

I'm official :yay:

There's still a lot of physical & mental work I need to do before I really even consider trying to teach any classes. Today proved to me that I do not feel fully capable in mind and body. My knees started giving me a heap of troubles midway through the day, which made me tune in/out of the good vibes of the training.
There were moments where I felt miles behind, but it's just hard to give your all when you're watching for the safety of, say, knees. I had a moment of upset when I was really feeling it. Like a moment of "Who will want a Zumba instructor with bad knees?" - but that is silly talk, because people want an instructor with a good energy most of all. I did lighten up completely at the end quarter of the day.

Our ZES for the day, Kelly Bullard was fantastic. Her energy kept pulling me out of any little rut I started to feel. She resonated with me early on when she told a story of getting caught up in a moment emotionally, seeing every different age group in a Zumba class recently. & she gives absolutely awesome hugs :tongue:.

I became sickly as of yesterday, so I'm combating the snot demons presently. I still made it to Zumba today, and have more Zumba & Zumba Practice tomorrow.
I'm also going to have my Dad call his insurance company to see how to go about getting my knees checked out. I've become worried about them as of late, and it'd be in my best interest to see what is wrong with them :unsure:
