Could someone please tell me what the biggest differences between 6w7 & 9w1 are? I have a hard time telling them apart.

Biggest differences between 6w7 & 9w1?

They sit on the same seesaw of IFP but at opposite ends.

One as;

-Think-feel intuit (N).

And the other as;

-Feel-think sense (S).

Put simply,. with in ,reference to two of the three Triads ,. The Relating Triad & The: Thinking Triad of the working enneagram model of personality.

They can be hard to tell apart sometimes because six goes to nine when healthy and nine goes to six when unhealthy.

The "energy" really is pretty different, though. Sixes are generally pretty edgy and a classic "anxious" type and they tend to not be afraid of controversial conversations and can even be pretty argumentative. With a seven wing they can be less edgy and a little more cute and fun but it's still that classic neurotic energy of feeling unsafe and insecure (that's their whole hangup.) They go to nine and calm down a bit when they're healthy but they still maintain that energy (think of all the characters on Seinfeld or someone like Ellen Degeneres)

Nines with an eight wing are easier to confuse with sixes because they can be a little argumentative and confident, but still, they will always back down and maintain the peace at all costs. Nine with a one wing is really not six-ish unless they're super triggered and unhealthy, and even then, their anxiety and argumentativeness isn't enduring; it tends to come in frustrated bursts ("nine rage"). It's not central to their way of being. Nines keep the peace. With a one wing especially, they are even-keeled and can have a "chill" or numbed out energy and be hard to read. Conflict makes them incredibly anxious. Sixes are the opposite! They are not chill, they can be very reactive and obvious regarding their emotions. Also, head type (sixes are very stuck in ideas) versus gut type (nines are very body based and aren't likely to be verbalizing lots of ideas or emotions all the time...probably the are likely to be "S" on the MBTI.)
