I'm a programmer. I've been doing it so long, and tech has been such a deep part of my life that it feels more like who I am than what I do for a living. So when I work, I feel like I'm just putting myself at the service of somebody else for a certain amount of time of the week. Just working for somebody else ends up being problematic, the people, the policies, the environment. It will always be.
