These days, I'm consistently somewhere around 5 and 6.

I've been at 7 and 8 many times last year and in the past. I hope to avoid that.

I actually think that the best description of my behavior as of late is most accurately summed up as between levels five and six for type.... five. You guys don't even know what goes on in this brain of mine 99% of the time (well, a few of you unfortunately do). I quite like some of what I come up with while meandering this realm after I've made certain observations that others likely missed. Level 5 is really fun, until it's not anymore...

I see what cannot be seen.

I can wear this hat if I want to. It doesn't matter if it was actually tailored for me. I picked it up at a thrift shop and it goes with my outfit for today. You can't tell me what to do!

Probably levels 6 or 7 for me. Level 9 for type 9 doesn't seem like a particularly uncommon experience for me though, ironically

Either 7 or 2, no in between. That is just how badly PMDD affects my mental health. I voted 5 though.

I'm an average Four, but in some ways I'm quite healthy. For instance, I exercise for an hour and a half every morning. That's kind of like a Four going to One.
However, I am still emotionally self indulgent and sometimes prefer fantasy over reality.

Quite pondiferous. It's highly changeable, I move easily between L2-L6, midway point is probably about right but I don't feel like I can judge this well objectively.

Agree re difficulty in judging objectively. But, I do know enough to know that while I have my days of being in levels 1 through 3, in general for years I have been far below that. I have had periods in my life though of being a lot healthier, and sense I'm slowly creeping back in that direction with time. I've just in recent years gotten into a mode of withdrawal, and checking out of and trying to ignore everything is almost second nature to me at this point, so I imagine I mostly sit in levels 4 through 6 and can stay in 6 for a while. I personally felt in level 7/8 while in my last relationship, but honestly I see/saw that as more of a self protective maneuver, so although the effects rippled into the rest of my life and greatly impacted me, I wouldn't say I dissociated as much from anything other than the one individual. It was not good.

For sure, I think the aim shouldn't be a level, it should be to work on healthier stress reactions and building yourself up so when life does hit you, you don't go down as far and you don't stay there as long because you know your warning signs and have the tools to pull yourself out, ofc, that takes a lot of work. I'd say I now fluctuate between 1-3 most of the time.

Integrated towards 7ish-ness. I'm currently just enjoying the little things life has to offer. Feeding the inner soul-child. I've always kind of had the pull towards being a socialist hippie and kind of living that lifestyle for the most part now.

recently heard some enneagram people say that meeting someone even at a level 3 is very rare, and if someone says they’re in the 1-3 range they’re probably wrong! the average person is....average!
