Hey guys, how do you know if your typing is actually correct. I can see my personality, because I have such a drive, competitive and ambitious way of being, as being a Type 3 , which Ive been tested as, but I know that my testing is and has consistently been tested as the type 7 wing 8. It was reaffirmed last night when I broke up with my boyfriend, so I excercised for 3 hours straight, spent twently bucks on fast food ( Im an extremely healthy eater), joined a clown group, joined a hiking group, applies as a PR Specialist for a Financial Club Im in, and stayed up til 3 eating nachos and painting three different paintings all at once while watching tv. So. In short. I become gluttonous, as is a trait of Seven, when they are stressed out.

But how do you Know, For Sure, that your typing IS Yours? I dont know about you, but, like I said, I can see facets of my personality in all of the types except for like, the caring types, I think type two? Idk

I would imagine that you just go with the one that resonates with you the most/ helps you understand yourself better. I test 3w2 all the time, but read the descriptions and nothing clicks with me at all, so I don't identify with that type.

I went with 5w4 in the long run because the description of that subtype fit me best out of the 18 choices.

So...took the test thingie...not very familiar with the enneagram, but it typed me as a 3w2 with an SO variant...which seems pretty spot on to me!

I change my enneagram type from 8 to 6w7 but it won't show in the poll.

Hi everyone!

I'm new here. I took an enneagram test about five-six months ago and I'm 4w5. I repeated it now and the result is the same. So it looks like I'm definitely 4w5 and I feel that's true.

I think the enneagram is very interseting and quite reliable personality test.

(Sorry for my English, I'm Hungarian.)

First one of these I took, not via the link provided, it said I was a 5. Then I took this one and I got a 1w9 and that sounded a little closer to my personality. So that's interesting.

I'm a four but when I took one test recently I got in this order: nine (way ahead of the others), six, five, four... and so on. Then I took another test and got 5. I had an oh-god-what-if-I'm-wrong-about-my-type-moment for a little while, reread all the type descriptions again, and then decided I probably am still a 4w5.

The moral of the story: don't freak out over one or two tests. Go with the type that you feel fits you best based on the descriptions.

Only eight 6w7s'? this must be the least representative poll i've ever seen.

(I bet someone's going to respond with a post about why that is, and yes, i've already considered it).

Another 6w5 here :) I've been relating to that type relatively closely since I've found out. I've also been mistyped as a Type 2 for a while --- but I couldn't relate to the healthiest level at all. I could relate to the 6w5 one because at one point I was actually there :)

It's called resonance. Look at a picture of the Enneagram, you will see that the 3 is directly across from both 7 and 8.

It's interesting you posted this :) I wouldn't venture to guess at the accuracy though, because 6w5 doesn't have ENFJ as a possible type. Is it common for ENFJ's? Does anyone know. Intuitively I can see it fitting. My tritype is 6w5, 9w8 and 3w2 --- and I find myself relating to all 3.

I don't think anybody says 6w5 can't possibly be ENFJ. However, if I were to hazard a guess based purely on their profile descriptions, I would say ENFJ = 2w3, or even an occasional 1w2. This chart shows other possibilities according to the poll results:

I relate to most of the description, but I find MBTI much broader and more accurate. Ennergram descriptions seem very confined. People are more fluid than that.

If I'd waited just a little longer to vote it would have actually been the right type.

hahaha my vote was for my very first guess... 9w1. 9w1, 3w4, 6w5, 5w6. I thought my tritype was 5w6, 9w1, and 3w4 but I think I would be 4w3 not 3w4 in the tritype. So 5w6, 9w1, 4w3. :)

I scored 1w9 but typically get an 8 with the omni varient. The top three results for me this afternoon were 1, 8, 5, (I don't know what the wing would be for 8 or 5) with the SO or SX varient. Anybody else get a consistent variety of results? How would I figure out my tritype?
