The "common threads" of the types in Boje's correlation seems to match the Hippocratic temperaments, in addition to the little discussed E/I + T/F groups well:

1 J (ambiverted, low Responsiveness)
2 EF (extraverted, high R ("Sanguine" social image)
3 ET extraverted, low R ("Choleric" social image)
4 IF, [en]F mostly introverted, high R ("Supine" social image)
5 IT introverted, low R ("Melancholy" social image)
6 EF/IF ambidextrous E/I; high R, Supine or Sanguine social image
7 EP extraverted; high R ("Sanguine" sociability temperament)
8 ET extraverted, low R ("Choleric" social image)
9 I[e]S[n]F[t]P[j] introverted and extraverted; low and high R (all-around moderate)

Temperament Part 3: APS and other systems

what does "high R" and "low R" refer to?

1: IxxJ+ENFJ
2: Any F type, especially the ExFJ ones, none T type
3: Everyone, except introverted feelers. Thinkers still though more prone to be 3 than feelers in my opinion
4: NF+ISFP
5: IxTx+INFJ and also some ENTPs, I've seen a few ENFPs too, but that still rare
6: Any type seriously. 6 seems to be more related with a lack of stability and certitude in childhood or youth than with any specific type
7: SPs+ENxPs
8: ExTx+ExFPs, and also INTJ and IxTPs, but it's less common.
9: IxxP+xNFJ. Especialy ISFP, ISTP, INTP and ENFJ for the 9w8 and ISFP, INFP, INTP and INFJ for the 9w1. In a minor way, we can see some ExFPs, ISFJs and ENTPs (especially the 9w8 for that last).

Oh, sorry; that's "responsiveness"; the other factor in the Hippocratic temperaments (think directing/informing from the Interaction Styles, and it loosely connects to T/F and J/P). I had just copied this off of my page.

By "social image" I mean the I/E + T/F groups. Like the E/I + J/P groups were called the "sociability temperaments", I figure ET, IT, EF and IF would best capture "social image". (introverted or extraverted, and thinker or feeler). 1 and 9 there correlate to a mix of types that do not have I/E and T/F as a common thread like that others.

I don't agree with any of this at all. especially Fi being 6. we're like the opposite of that. I would place the correlations more like this
1: Te, Si, Fi
2: Fe, Si, Fi
3: Te, Si, Se
4: Fi, Fe, Ne, Ni
5: Ti, Ni, Te
6: Si, Fe, Se
7: Se, Ne
8: Te, Se
9: Fi, Ne, Se

Notes- I would say pretty much anyone can be a 6, although it seems much more common within the SJs and NPs than SPs and NJs. Also I'd say anyone but I_T_ types can be a 3, with extroverts much more likely to be 3's. So for that reason I'm not going to list 3 or 6.

INFP:

Most common- 4, 9w1
Less common- 5

ISFP:

Most common- 4w3, 9
Less common- 7

INTP:

Most common- 5
Less common- 1, 4, 9w1

ISTP-

Most common- 5w6, 9 (9w8 more common)
Less common- 7, 1

INFJ:

Most common- 4, 9w1
Less common- 5, 1

ISFJ:

Most common- 6, 1
Less common- 2, 4

INTJ:

Most common- 5, 1
Less common- 8, 4

ISTJ:

Most common- 5w6, 6, 1
Less common- 8

ENFP:

Most common- 7, 4 (7 is obviously the most common, but 4's don't seem that uncommon)
Less common- 8, 2, 9

ESFP:

Most common- 7, 3 (3 is notable here because I've noticed that a lot of ESFPs are 3)
Less common- 8

ESTP:

Most common- 7, 8
Less common- N/A other than 3

ENTP:

Most common- 7, 6, 3
Less common- 5, 8

ENFJ:

Most common- 2, 1
Less common- 4, 9, 7

ESFJ:

Most common- 2, 1, 6
Less common- N/A

ENTJ:

Most common- 8
Less common- 7, 1

ESTJ:

Most common- 8, 6
Less common- 1

There are of course some strange combinations outside of this list; but these are just my observations.

I just stumbled across this (researching something on INTPc), good list.

Type 4: Fi
Type 5: Ti
Type 6: Si
Type 7: Ne
Type 8: Se
Type 9: Ni

Cool. Though I would eject INFP from 1 and add ESFP for 2 and ENTJ for 3. ENFP sounds better than ISFJ for 4 also.

I don't think there are really a lot of ENFP 4s. I think a lot of ENFPs think that they're 4s.
most ENFPs after reading the 4 description are probably like:
" oo, 4 is the individualist, that's me!"
" 4w3 is the Aristocrat. yeah, I'm that  "
" 4s are the most artistic type. that sounds like me"

that being said, I agree with adding ENTJ to 3 and ESFP to 2

from what i know its like this : ENFP : 7 - 40%, 3 - 30% 4 - 20% 1 -5%

SJs are more often 4s than it's expected.

my high school was full of SJ 4s who thought they were NF and NF 3s who thought they were SJ lol.
PS: if that's true, that would mean ENFP 2s, 5s, 6s, 8s and 9s collectively make up about 5% of the population

My mom is ISTJ 4 but somehow her istj is more apparent. She is not healthy so i dont buy thwt "integration to 1" in her case haha. She is strong STJ i guess
But still has self pitying and drama and elitistic attitude that 4 has

About 5% - yes i guess.. I mean i never met enfp 2 or 5 for sure.

Eh, even more weird, my aunt is a 4w3 Sp/Sx and she's ESTJ, she is not really healthy, but I can really see the move between 2 and 1, and she's clearly more connected to her security point, the 1. I did'nt say that Type 4 ENFP were very current, but that they were more current that type 4 ISFJ, actually, I'm not so sure...

ENFP 5 are rare but ENFP 2 are not.
