See, this is one of those areas where Enneagram spins off course for me. I am much more of a "feeling" type than a "thinking" type. And I seek attention and autonomy more than security.

Hmm, the only thing you said with that post is that you've mistyped yourself and you're a 3w4, or 4w3 whichever.

That's a great list! It confused me but it's got a lot of information for such a short list.

Now I'm wondering whether I'm in the feeling triad instead of the instinctual triad. Since I seek attention. On the other hand I have tiffs of rage that I wouldn't ever let anyone see either.

That is also consistent with the feeling triad, since one of the issues of the feeling triad is hostility.

Ah, I should've read more closely. None of the feeling types are what I identify with... I guess my problem can only be solved by studying enneagram more.

4w6... Sweet, it all makes so much more sense now!

Thanks, BC.

Hmm,

Is there anything on 7-9-8?

Those are my three highest numbers.

7: 9.7
9: 9
8: 6.7

You could be a 7w8 and have 9 as one of your trifix types?

Hmm, I relate to the instinctive triad more in these definitions, and even some I used to attribute to being a 5 [dissociative, seeking independence/autonomy, general detachment]. On tests, I tend to score 5-9-6 and identify with the 5 description over the 9, but could never pin myself to a wing..

I really need to give enneagram more thought.

Thanks for boiling this down, as usual! Grouping types into triads and then 'drilling down' from there would be immensely useful, but I'd never seen good descriptions of the triads.

I think the triad descriptions here definitely help reinforce types 3 and 4 for me, and the fact that 4 borders the thinking triad helps describe its influence.
