Here is pretty much everything on every enneagram type. Enjoy. :D

WEBSITES

Read these to determine what triad you're in:
http://www.typologycentral.com/forums/enneagram/25141-triad-definitions.html

Extensive type descriptions, type and instinct combination descriptions, and the history of the enneagram. I mostly use this one for their type + instinct descriptions, which are highly useful- the enneagram ...info from the underground

Instinctual Variant descriptions from a book that I have- http://www.typologycentral.com/foru...criptions-enneagram-instinctual-variants.html

9types. A good website for getting started on identifying your type, plus they have nifty diagrams that describe the type's loops- 9types.com - Enneagram tests, type descriptions, forums

The Enneagram Institute. This website is unique from the others in that it just has such a mass amount of information, and they have intertype relations. To get a lot of their other stuff though, you have to register on their website- Enneagram Institute: Enneagram Testing & Training

Enneagram.net Enneagram Tests, Instinctual Subtypes, Tritype, and Enneagram Type Reports! - This is a pretty nice site with some clear and concise profiles, covering many aspects of the types in a clear fashion. And in each profile there are videos that represent each type.

Good reference. :) I'm searching for good Enneagram forums. I find the Enneagram Institute's forums to be horrid. This is because there are no graphics (avatars, sigs, etc.) to help you keep you place in the thread, the system for switching between thread/post pages is a drop-down instead of a simple link to click on (just as one example of the completely non-user-friendly interface), and the people there routinely quote entire posts, and posts-within-posts-within-quoted-posts so that on any given page of a longer thread, less than 10% of the text is original text. Argh. I'll post any good forums I find in this thread; I'd truly appreciate it if anyone who knows of a good Enneagram forum would do the same. Obviously MBTI is bigger, but I am really surprised there's not more Enneagram forums out there. Perhaps I am using the wrong search terms...

Such a treasure trove of references. Thank you, BlackCat.

Also, I wonder if you would mind some others contributing things of their own, or would you like us to focus on what you've already given?

I am a member of an invite only enneagram forum, but the community there isn't that great. Though there is a plethora of resources there...

I have the website somewhere in my 1100 PMs. lol I'll look for it after class today. I didn't PM much with the guy, he just basically sent me the invite and that was it (I'll find it for the sake of information).

Nunki- Do you have anything specific that you would like for me to contribute?

No, I think you covered things nicely. I was just curious what kind of direction you wanted to take this thread.

thanks

Good Post BlackCat.

The negative sides of Enneagram are a little hard to take.

BTW, ENFJ 1 with 2 wing social/sexual/self res. I am a rare Enneagram 1 NF. There is only one other in Typology (Proteanmix) and the rest are mostly 2s. I appreciated the Enneagram for that distinction because I felt unrelated somewhat to the "giver 2s" ENFJs.

Wow, so Enneagram has become so popular in the type community, it gets its own subforum now.
(Wish FIRO and its derived temperament systems would become this popular (again). It actually has some similarities to Enneagram).

Hm after deciphering the scores you seem to have a 6 wing. But read the 5 profile to be sure. :)

I think so. I consider myself a 5w4 [or maybe a 6, I'm confused] but when I take a test, 4 is my LOWEST score. I think most tests are only good for determining a primary candidate, then rely on the descriptions for your wing.
