ISTJ. From interviews, comes across as introverted. Doesnt find it that easy to open up, looks an effort. Good grasp of language when he does, thoughtful and logical communicator without being overly friendly or considerate to the listener, so I think his external side is Thinking. An introvert with external thinking puts him at ISTJ or INTJ.
Hard to know his internal workings to determine his dominant function, but I'd go with him being a sensor rather than intuitive. Concerned with the here and now, concrete facts over imagination. No signs of idealism. So ISTJ.

I've previously identified 9w8 as the Tough/Contrarian-Leisurely Gestalt. Connery fits the bill, as follows:


Fi-dom produces a cognition for the inner psychology of others....Ne-creative excels at envisioning/anticipating/forecasting immediate and distant futures for the person....so the possibile ways in which the surrounding context will effect that person's psychology.
