I've seen him described as ENTP and INTP...INTP is much more likely.

To whomever voted 5w6: you're not understanding the enneagram.

He's basically the poster child of the INTPs.

Why is there a new Einstein type thread when there is one already existing?

Wait is Stein a common Jewish name? If so is Frankenstein also Jewish???

I liked the game show where people tried to win Einstein's money. Oops, wait.

After reading a great Einstein biography (Einstein: His Life and Universe), I'm thinking the common INTP 5w4 typing is definitely right. I'm guessing sp-dom for his instinctual variant -- probably sp/so.

Wow it sounds so much better in german. However, for people who can speak german it still sound stonish.

The name stone goes well with his hairstyle.

Also, i might have been the first person in a hundred years to have figured out frankenstein's monster's name.

When I was in high school, people would refer to the really intelligent students as "steins".

Of course in English usage, this also means a receptacle for beer, but I understand that has a different name in German (Krug, I think?)

Albert Einstein - ILE :)Ne: - :Ti:) [ENTp]

:Ne: > :Ti:

:Ti: individuals working in a system of knowledge treat new perceptions and information to judgement by attempting to conform them to the already built structure [either in print or in their mind] and work them in somehow. The structure is paramount, the essences and ideas must fit into the organization.

:Ne: individuals working in a system of knowledge treat new perceptions and information as paramount, and thus any new novel connections or general essences perceived are considered more important than previously existing structures. Thus, they prefer to follow them to where they lead instead of trying to piece them within the system as is. The structure must be adapted and manipulated to fit new perceptions, new connections, and new ideas.

Einstein did not attempt to paste his perception of new revolutionary Physics ideas into the logical structure that had already been established. He, instead, decided to manipulate (Creative :Ti:) the already established foundation of Physics around his new perceptions. Einstein, for instance, maintained that the speed of light in a vacuum, 299,792 km/s, was a constant that could not change, and construed the logical system around this basis, creating such radical changes such as the transformation of time from a constant rate into something that varies.

A better question would be who would win in a three way staring context: Einstein or Tesla or Edison.

trick question: Three way staring contests are not possible.

He's probably INTP MBTI, but for socionics, I wouldn't know.

As for enneagram, he is not what I am, and that is 5w6. So that's an easy answer to a hard question. :p

INTP 5w4.

As much as I enjoy Einstein's scientific theories, I found Ideas and Opinions to be very engaging. To read commentary on social, political, economic, religious, etc issues through the eyes of a rational-minded type was fascinating.

At least two of those individuals are believed to have been capable of this. Their super advanced mind lasers could bend the very rules of space and time, thus making a 3-way staring contest possible. However, to actually do so would cause the three to transmute into pure energy, possibly leading to tears in the spacetime continuum, as the newly-formed energy organism would be unmeasurably more powerful than every nuclear weapon ever built combined.

The level of misunderstanding in this analysis borders on the kind seen in bigotted commentry seen in trying to devalue any group of people based on any charecteristic seen to be permanent.

Introverted Thinking doesn't have a set world view from birth. The world view is a life's work, contantly under revision. What Einstein did is the exemplar that Introverted Thinkers strive for, not just in his science, but in his philosophy and his politics.

I would like to know why you think so.

What is it that sets them apart yet people confuse one type to be the other?

The combination of 4 and 5 traits is intellectual creativity, even paradigm shifts.
