When viewing a new piece of art, can describe your mental process in interpreting it. Do you first admire the emotional impression? Or do you notice techique? Etc

I want to know what you think.

I think I first tend to notice the emotional impression, with the colors that are used, the subject matter, the technique, the perspective. With some the actual subject has to be delved into more deeply-considered objectively, with others it's about reading the subjective.
