Basil Poledouris' phenomenal score to a mediocre but fun sci-fi film. I like how he blended styles from classic western scores with sci-fi styles

Heavy MetalSassy is the cat in the moment of destiny...
For the cat is cryptic,
and close to strange things which men cannot see.
He is the soul of antique Aegyptus,
and bearer of tales from forgotten cities in Meroë and Ophir.
He is the kin of the jungle’s lords,
and heir to the secrets of hoary and sinister Africa.
The Sphinx is his cousin, and he speaks her language;
but he is more ancient than the Sphinx,
and remembers that which she hath forgotten...

I love the score to "Gone With The Wind". Completely soul stirring. Always puts me in a good mood!

I really love Silvestri. He's had such a diverse career and then managed to get the Avengers two-part conclusion gig, bringing some weight to it.
but I always had a soft spot for his "Contact" soundtrack, including the end credits. It's just lush and beautiful in all the right spots, with an unexpected center section. And of course french horns.
"Hey Capa -- We're only stardust." ~ "Sunshine"
