I was married to one for a few years. Extremely INTP and extremely charismatic - capable of dominating intellectual domains with contrary, original, but logical ideas, and possibly the most brilliant manipulator I've ever met in my life. He could mirror every nuance of linguistic colloquialisms and even some body language mirroring, but mostly linguistic. He left my head spinning with total wreckage - albeit mostly logical wreckage which is nearly indescribable, but much like an M.C. Escher nightmare.

I'ld bet tho that you found him charismatic on a subjective intellectual level. On house parties where you drink beer and ram the can into your face afterwards, I have never met such an intp

Is Sisko a visionary leader or a practical/realist type of leader?

Both. The characterization seems to vacillate between ISTJ, INFJ, ENTJ and ISTP. Hard to say, my DS9 knowledge is very limited.
