I don't tend to develop fictional crushes, but the closest thing to one for me would be Sally Whitemane. It's not so much that I want to get with her or anything, I just want to be like her. Maybe Widowmaker as well.

This is what I was getting at, when I asked about the difference between a crush and a favorite character. What you describe sounds more like the latter.
Though the ground was burnt and everything turned into ashes, we will revive again. The sky is still blue, the crashing waves from long ago are unchanged. This is Earth, our planet. This dream is in the hearts of people; so long as they do not abandon it, it will not fade away. For the sake of tomorrow, keep a song in your heart. For the sake of our future, let us stop our crying and stand on our ground firmly. ~Maya

Maybe it's a spectrum, because there are also characters I really like, but I don't necessarily want to "merge" myself with them in any way. I appreciate them more independently of myself.

Curie. I could see myself falling for a robot.

Unfortunately, Bo Lin from "The Legend of Korra." (This is a recent development. Also, not exactly a crush, but I guess the ace/aro-ish version.)
