She picks up a light Sabor and just instantly learns force capabilities, which makes no sense since you have to train for years to learn force capabilities.

None of these indicate flawlessness, just perks. She may also lack discernible flaws, but there was certainly enough room for dramatic tension in the story (capture, evading the Imperials, nearly getting killed by Kylo Ren) so I don't honestly care. And before you say "but she could just get new powers to get out of them", said powers made sense in the story given, and followed a specific theme of inheritance and force abilities. Anakin was also an absurdly good pilot with little experience as per Episode I.

Not that I don't agree in spirit, but I do want to point out that content analysis showed that there have actually been a lot of Phasma action figures, and the more consistent trend is that there are more villain action figures than hero action figures, which was also true back in the old days to some extent. This is because Star Wars is one of the most prominent offenders of the rather common act of giving all the cool stuff to the villains.

Still, there is less of Rey than the other heroes. But more of Phasma than the male heroes. So it's sort of a two category hierarchy. First priority is villains over heroes, then men over women.

Interesting point. I recall for the Phantom Menace, Darth Maul was all over the marketing. I suppose they thought they should repeat that pattern for Kylo Ren.

I would have liked to see the guy who says "That's worth 60 portions" featured more. I loved that Dickensian alien character; he kind of reminded me of the butt-faced alien that tries to pick a fight with Luke at the bar.
