A function or THE function?

I was going to say something trite, but why? When I can say something banal instead:

Art grabs at the subjective narrative in the brain and asks to be seen.

But if you didn't see it, it wasn't there and if you did you realise it always was. But it took art's grab to see it.

Art is just another language, except more complex (maybe?). It needs to be studied to be understood (but you could say the same about a foreign language lol). It's another form of communication. Or maybe-- I don't know, something like that. Art feels more personal though. It's like when words just aren't enough.
