This Bonnaroo365 video, a little outdated, features two members of a band from Minnesota called "Night Moves."
The lead singer's voice reminds one of Bob Seger but looks like the protagonist in American Pop, an animated feature chronicling the story of Rock'n'Roll and which, coincidentally, features Bob Seger's song "Night Moves"....it all comes together in this offbeat, throwback, 70's vintage band that isn't quite right but isn't quite wrong either.
Additionally, the subject matter of the lyrics echoes the story of Odysseus and chronicles the returning phase of the "Wanderer's Story" - speaking to the listener on both a personal and mythic level.
Here we see that even Rock'n'Roll lies partially upon a flatbed of Hellenic culture and that Bob Seger is worth emulating, especially when something new emerges from the artist who is brazen enough to channel his inner Seger in an effort to innovate. We see that here. He's successful.
