2) 808s and Heartbreak
3) The College Dropout
4) Late Registration

6) Yeezus
7) Watch the Throne

Peaked sonically around 2008-2011, imo.

Oh no. I WON'T BE ABLE TO CHOOSE. But I'll try.

Kelly Clarkson

1. Breakaway - a lot of her greatest hits, great vocals and melodies, themes ranging from darker to uplifting, really powerful and emotional
2. Thankful - two memorable classics, shows off more of her vocal technique, some R&B-ish themes mixed in
3. Stronger - empowering album, catchy tunes, more vocally-focused than focused on pop sounds like the last album (All I Ever Wanted)
4. Wrapped in Red - variety of styles in the covers, original songs were definitely the best in the album, great for the holiday season
5. My December - darker, lack of experience in this more depressive style can be a little apparent at times, interesting songs, surprisingly good vocals
6. All I Ever Wanted - catchy and fun, lighthearted album but nothing incredibly groundbreaking, trying too hard to get back into popular sounds

You rank the albums in order of preference -- unless you like all artists' output in reverse chronological order?

Tori Amos:
1. Boys for Pele (1996) - Pure cathartic magic. It's like a cleansing fire, full of searing rage and grief but also renewal and transformation. My favorite album ever.
2. Little Earthquakes (1992)
3. Under the Pink (1994)
4. From the Choirgirl Hotel (1998)
... significant drop ...
5. Scarlet's Walk (2002)
6. To Venus and Back (1999)
7. Abnormally Attracted to Sin (2009)
8. American Doll Posse (2007)
9. Strange Little Girls (2001)
10. Night of Hunters (2011) - Not that it's bad by any means, but I just couldn't get into it.

Fiona Apple:
1. The Idler Wheel... (2012)
2. Extraordinary Machine (2005)
3. When the Pawn... (1999) - (only ranked lower than Extraordinary Machine by a hair)
4. Tidal (1996)

many Radiohead fans would question my judgment:
1. OK Computer (1997)
2. The King of Limbs (2011) - (I must be the only person who likes TKOL more than In Rainbows. Codex and Give Up the Ghost are my two favorite songs by any artist, and Bloom and Separator are not far behind)
3. In Rainbows (2007)
4. Amnesiac (2001)
5. Kid A (2000)
6. The Bends (1995)
huge drop
7. Hail to the Thief (2003)
another drop
8. Pablo Honey (1993)

Ah, interesting.

Tori Amos
1. Boys for Pele (this has gradually become my favorite over time; for a long while, it would not have been number 1 for me)
2. Little Earthquakes
3. Under the Pink
4. From the Choirgirl Hotel
5. To Venus and Back
6. The Beekeeper (one that I used to dislike, it's risen)
7. Scarlet's Walk
8. American Doll Posse
9. Strange Little Girls
10. Night of Hunters (not much of a fan....)
11. Abnormally Attracted to Sin (I really like a few songs on this album, but the rest are pretty weak imo)

Pete Yorn
1.Music for the Morning After
2.Day I Forgot
3.Nightcrawler
4.Break Up (w/ scarlett johannson)
5.Pete Yorn
6.Back and Forth

I have a lot more artists I really like, with multiple albums of each, but the above two are the only ones I think I have bulk/all of their albums.
