Albert Einstein, although he was a genius, in many ways was also a fool, and below I will outline a few reasons why:

He rejected the expanding universe contained in his equations, inventing 'ether'.
He didn't want to accept quantum mechanics, with a dislike for 'chaos'.
He relied on mathematics much more than the context, the 'relative' reference.
He liked to be at peace with things and was too weak to 'command'.

Basically, Einstein didn't do the right thing and fight with valor when presented with direct challenges.
