"It is not the personality's task to tell the truth,
but to seem to, try to, or try to seem to."

When you look into the water and the fish are dead
And you close your eyes and all you see is red
Now you're all tied up inside your head
And I already forgot everything you said
When you think of all the things that I said to you
It wouldn't cut to the bone if it weren't true
You can keep them locked away inside your head
But I already forgot everything you said
Well you came to me when the night was young
But you could not stay for very long
And you were looking for a place to unload your head
But I already forgot everything you said
When you left with him and he changed his mind
And you left everything that you loved behind
Well I would take you back but the feeling's dead
And I already forgot everything you said
Well you can ease your heart, you can ease your mind
And you can save your thoughts for another time
Because the sun is rising on your bed
And I already forgot everything you said
Now I already forgot everything you said
Yeah I already forgot everything you said
And I already forgot everything you said

It's another night of the living dead
Like a viper bite in a spiderweb
It's so deathly dark in the alleyway
And a bleeding heart makes you easy prey
I would run and hide for the afternoon
With the butterfly in the panic room
Though I won't be missed, I would say it's time
For a different twist in the story line
It feels like I'm a lone survivor
Forgotten in a dark and deadly world
And on my own I walk alone
To see the sun again I'd give anything
But life demands a final chapter
A story that we all must leave behind
It's do or die, and this is mine
The anthem of a bird with a broken wing
The anthem of a bird with a broken wingWith all due respect,

Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield, and Everything at Once by Lenka (very apt for Ne doms, I think)

"Every character shares some aspect — is based on an aspect of the writer, eventually. … I’ve been told several times by therapists … my childhood … kind of fried the circuitry in my heart which is why I have trouble with relationships. That’s why [Britta is] a robot."'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist
Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
Piglet was comforted by this.
