It happens about once or twice a month, but that song triggered this song to autoplay in my brain. :D

I was always indifferent when someone famous died. I didn't think I'd really be very sad about the death of any musician. I don't know them personally.

...but then I realized that it seemed as if I did know them personally.

I feel like the only thing I can give back is to echo her depth of life.

What music would we make if we were dying? What would the lyrics say? What would it sound like? Would we tell anyone, or let the beauty and authenticity of the music stand on its own?

Would people hear the music, or just a pleasant noise? Do they listen with their mind, or just their ears?

Would anyone hear beyond the music?

How is the word tree in the band name used? As a metaphor for something else or more in a descriptive form?

-The whole name is definitely a metaphor, but not for one specific thing, it has more of a multi-layered meaning. The tree is a symbol of many things on many levels, but the simplest description would be that WE, as human beings, are trees of eternity, links between earth and sky so to speak (body and consciousness).

The album aside, what plans do you have for Trees of Eternity?

-The plan is basically just to make beautiful and genuine music, and hopefully to get it heard by all those who might resonate with it...

SINKING SHIPS

To know her is to see
that nothing is as it seems
She’ll show her true face when you’re
stripped of all belief
Sweet tyrant, laying out the course with what you need
To send you through the veils
of Eternity

Crack me open or I’ll go down
on this sinking ship, don’t leave
me to drown
Still the water bears the sound
of my eternal plea
and all I found

And all I will…

She calls you with a mirage
Of what you want to see
You fall into her arms
As she shatters all your dreams
Sweet violence, aimed to crack the shell from which you bleed
And send you through the tree of Eternity.

Crack me open or I’ll go down
on this sinking ship, don’t leave
me to drown
Still the water bears the sound
of my eternal plea
And all I found

And all I will…
