Not because I'm Dutch, but because I think he has great philosophy regarding football and could realy abuse his opponent psychologically. Also the timing of his techniques, although the techniques seem simple, are so perfect that they also never fail. He was one of the coolest intuitive footballers that ever played in my opinion.

Also, his philosophy about total football (position changing and having a team that shifts around to confuse opponents and create oppertunity) was a sight to behold.

I'm a bit suspect, but my answer is Pele. If Messi manages to play for Argentina what he does for Barcelona (he's been improving) he might become the all time best.
Neymar sucks. He's sort of a worse version of Ronaldinho - dribbles too much, and usually can't deliver at the big moments.

I'll go with Thierry Henry. Why?

The legends, except Zidande, I never watched live. So, while others say they were good, and I've watched some of their games, I don't really understand the particulars of their greatness.

Zidane...yeah, he was good. But if I'm picking a team, I'll choose Henry first. He's good, and more importantly, I don't want him on the other side. Zidane, if he was on the other side, I could deal with it.

Some of Henry's goals are like poetry. It's insane at times. That, up flick and quick turn goal...
