KMFDM
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Modest Mouse
Nine Inch Nails
Goldfish
That 1 Guy
Covenant
VNV Nation
The Dandy Warhols
Boom Boom Satellites

It changes, naturally. There's a lot of good taste in this thread! I am also fond of Blonde Redhead and Porcupine Tree. :)

I like both old and new. I was a little iffy on the new singer, but saw them in concert and I'm down with it.

The ones after that I don't like nearly as much.

I don't have a problem with Anette, I have a problem with the rest of the band. Anette is just doing what she has to do. she was a singer who needed a job and would have been a fool not to join Nightwish. they on the other hand should have known better, especially because they are brilliant musicians and seemingly good businessmen
1) they kicked her out without trying to communicate with her at all.
2) the fans all loved and still love Tarja, they should have respected the wishes of the fans
3) they tried to pretend like they're even the same band, but their music has done a complete 180
4) Anette has a pop voice, a decent pop voice, but a pop voice. Tarja had a rich, ethereal soprano voice that cannot be matched in the pop industry
5) they actually had the nerve to remake some of their old songs with the new singer. that's like if Kim Kardashian thought that she could turn around and sing Verdian opera.

Yes, you're right. I know. But even with all of that, I still enjoy their new stuff, even if it's not as much as their old. I guess that's what's good about CDs. You can listen to the band how it was no matter how they change.

This thread reminds me that I don't listen to much 'band'-music... ever since I used the Yes CD I bought in 8th grade as a frisbee in a Wal-Mart parking lot (5-6 yrs ago, late one night in October) I've been moved beyond the band-world. Hmm. I like songs by bands but don't have any full, overt, unadulterated band-loves. Need a new love... need a new bandlove.
