Seriously technology can make the world better or worse. Change is inevitable. A positive change doesn’t happen without some underlying scrutiny.

And there should be. We all play an important role in our present, and we can all contribute criticism to construct a common consensus by which we measure many magnificent new manifestations of human ingenuity. Change may be inevitable, but the kind of change, the direction we steer it, is up to the people making the change.

Well, if she starts singing about that and then getting knocked up by her fraternity-pledge boyfriend, I actually might think her parents are assholes.

Always interesting, though, to consider: Look at some of the teen stars (singers and actors) and what degree of influence/control their parents have. (Miley Cyrus, for example, whose dad thinks she is involved with adults who don't have her best interests at heart.) Katy Perry's dad is/was a minister, and she started in Christian music but made this large shift, and yet they still seem to have a good supportive relationship, yet she still probably sings about some things that would leave them uncomfortable. (Albeit, she's an adult now.)

People project their own interpretation of the word "party" and they can make it as negative as they want. My interpretation is that the word has so many meanings we can only consciously choose to feel offended by her choice of lyrics.
