What would you put in your top 5 for the previous gen console, the PS2?

1. Zone of Enders 2. I think this game isn't well known, but oh my god is it awesome. I'm not into giant robots and all that crap, nor do i usually like anime style games. But this thing has some of the most exciting, thrilling combat I've ever engaged in. The awesome speed, the power... truly unrivaled! Great visual effects too.

2. Shadow of the colossus

3. Kingdom hearts 2

4. Resident Evil 4

5. Final fantasy X/XII (can't decide which)

1. Katamari Damacy. this game literally changed my life. i know it sounds pathetic....and it probably is. nonetheless, it did.

beyond this, in no particular order:

2. God of War II. Awesome.

3. Persona 4. persona 3 appears to be the common favourite out of them all, but i just really enjoyed 4 better. maybe because it wasn't as freaking long.

4. Shadow of the Colossus. first time i played this i ran around in a field for 45 minutes while my partner laughed as I tried to figure out what to do.

5. Final Fantasy X. Awesome.

Last I heard, Team ICO was coming out with an HD version of all three games in the series. I also agree... definitely a work of art. Best work of art I ever played.

Definately Final Fantasy X over Final Fantasy XII in my opinion. XII has it's arcadish fun gameplay style with pretty fun quests and I quite enjoyed battling with them special dress thingies. But the game scales upwards in difficulty towards the end really badly and actually requires some hours of grinding in order to get through without too much trouble. And the main story line isn't that good.

Final Fantasy X is quite playable until the very end without needing to sidetrack and grind and has a much better storyline.
